Boys vs. Girls

The battle was loud and ugly, but ended with mouths full of whipped cream. I laughed so hard I cried while another threatened to wet her pants. Taunts continued between bites of strawberry soaked angel food cake, but ultimately the evening ended with each couple retiring to their corner of the house. Maybe I’m a gluten for punishment, but I’m all about a rematch – same time, same place next year!

Our Missouri reunion may not be defined by the unfortunate wedding photos from Bridal Cave, the horribly kitschy Ozark Land, dueling crayfish, senior pictures, nine avocadoes, a hollow castle at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, skipping stones into the sun, midnight peepers or a $4 Nerf ball, but when you’re flying sober solo it’s the little things that count.

Thanks again to everyone who made the trip! The company was refreshing, the food fantastic and the evening entertainment enjoyable -- if not a challenge in civility.
