Having cast my ballot in a decidedly Red State, I was under no illusion that the ultimate victory would loud or public in our neighborhood. My jubilation has been modest, but no less thrilling.
Contrary to Senator John McCain graceful exit, many of those that viewed Tuesday's results as a defeat have not been so quiet. I've encountered such venom it's made my stomach turn. For them - I now realize - the issues were never really the issue. As a result, their blind faith has united them in hatred.
The last 48 hours has tested my confidence in people.
