Me - "Dad's going to be mad when he sees what you're doing to his garden."
Alton - "Yeah."
Dad arrives outside.
J - "Are you digging in my garden, Alton?"
Alton - "Yeah."
Big smile. Dirt everywhere.
The boy went on to dump the rest of our spinach seeds on the ground. Being the responsible lad that he is, he made J sit until he had returned nearly every tiny seed to an envelope. I hope he's equally diligent when it comes time to eat the spinach!
